Dewi Sant

A Welsh bishop and the patron saint of Wales, Dewi (David) lived in the 6th century.

Dewi gained fame for his own supernatural abilities; once in mid-Wales he commanded the ground to rise up below his feet so he could preach to a crowd.

Dewi also possessed a Druidic connection to nature. His emblem was a white dove and he extolled the monks in the abbey he founded to care for the natural world.
