In 1854, the English travel writer, George Borrow, embarked an a long walking tour through Wales. His experiences would become the book, Wild Wales, which was published in 1862.
Wild Wales is generally considered one of the first travel books about Wales and opened the eyes of a new generation of English Victorian tourists to the country next door to them.
