A family of physicians born of otherworldly heritage and whose knowledge was passed down through successive generations of doctors over 700 years. These were the Physicians of Myddfai and their nature-based remedies and philosophy, however folkloric it might be, continues to have resonance today.
It was said that their mother was the fabled Lady of the Lake who rose out of the waters of Llyn y Fan Fach. She raised her sons to understand the healing power of the plants and trees in the forests.
