A writer, naturalist and famous Welsh antiquarian. Pennant is considered one of the early travel writers of Wales notably for this Tour in Wales, published in parts between 1778-1784. Pennant travelled on horseback and on foot and his work was influential in attracting a new generation of Victorian tourists to Wales.
