Twm Sion Cati was the alias of a young man from the town of Tregaron in mid-Wales named Thomas Jones. He has become known as the Welsh Robin Hood because of his exploits robbing wealthy local nobility though many of the tales attributed to him have no doubt been embellished over the centuries.
Twm is said to have had a secret hiding place from the law located in a cave in the heart of what is now the R.S.P.B. Gwenffrwd Dinas nature reserve.
