Walking Trail 11 – Upper Brynamman to Llanddeusant

A tough 19km climb up over the Black Mountain and descent into the village of Llanddeusant.

This walk starts by following a public footpath up over the Black Mountain. It can be very wet depending on the time of year and involves navigating a stretch of tussocks so take care with footing. Waterproofs a must. The path gets drier as it turns into an old drovers path that descends to meet the Beacons Way.

Follow the Beacons Way east across the Black Mountain as it leads into Llanddeusant.

Weather conditions can change very quickly on the Black Mountain and phone signal can disappear so be prepared and carry a physical OS map as well as downloading the digital version to your phone.
