A shortish but challenging 13km trek up the Doethie valley into the heart of the Cambrian Mountains.
This walk skirts the Gwenffrwd Dinas RSPB nature reserve (home to the cave of Twm Sion Cati) before picking up the Cambrian Way trail that climbs through the Doethie. This might be one of the most spectacular valley walks in all of Wales – truly wild and mostly deserted.
It concludes at the Ty’n Cornel Hostel where you can stay the night.
