A mostly easy walk of 14km with one steep descent.
The second walking trail starts at the top of Gray Hill and descends into Wentwood forest, following the forestry tracks due west before diverting south to Curley Oak. It exits the Forest around Kemey’s Interior and picks up the Usk Valley Walk as it meanders through fields and lanes.
One of the footpaths has been blocked by a landowner so we rerouted west onto a side road then pick up Cats Ash road as it leads through the Celtic Manor golf resort to the historic town of Caerleon.
