Walking Trail 28 – Corwen to Llangollen

A 19km walk along the Dee Valley to the famous town of Llangollen.

From Corwen, having passed the statue in honour of Owain Glyndwr, you head north and join the Dee Valley Way as it leads to the Victorian village of Carrog.

Stay on the Dee Valley Way as it heads into the hills but be aware that has a new signposted route that is different to the one offered by the OS maps. Follow the new route because the OS one takes you through tangles of stinging nettles and into dead ends.

The new and old Dee Valley Way routes converge at Mynydd Bychan and then carry on to the village of Rhewl before dropping down to the Afon Dyfrdwy and Horseshoe Falls. Here you follow the canal footpath into Llangollen.
